While it does take an hour and a half to drive for the "peak" experience, the resulting hike is always a crowd favorite. At over 5000 ft., and with 360 degree views of Lake Como, Lake Lugano and the distant alps, this relatively mellow 4.6 mile stroll is a singular adventure. The slices of meats, cheeses, bread and Vino Rosso keeps the end of the hike from being anticlimactic.
