An Italian wine country afternoon!

Stopping at a favorite lunch Trattoria we met newlyweds from Philadelphia and agreed that this was one surprisingly excellent lunch. Just a few photos of appetizer and desserts. Roasted ham (vs. Prosciutto) with crisp, cold, sweet melon, then a sorbet softened in front of us, and a violet scented, chocolate covered gelato in pastry.

Jon, Ann and I headed out by car to the bank of wine...the museum of Italian wine..slow wine, and the center of slow food. All this work while Peggy hiked home, straight uphill for about an hour..she loved her experience, and we were underwhelmed with ours...but it did include some fun tasting!
