A surprising but greatly welcomed meal to finish a long hiking day. ..eating in the garden of a restored chalet. Piano music was live all night and our waiter steered us towards all the local specialties, like trout caught in the lake and beef grown in the hills.
The black ash is burnt onion. Loved it!
